I would like to thank the Editorial Board for calling out St. ²»Á¼Ñо¿Ëùµ¼º½ÍøÖ· city officials’ corruption in handing out $37 million in grant money to questionable or made-up businesses. (“Editorial: St. ²»Á¼Ñо¿Ëùµ¼º½ÍøÖ· leaders, please give our Editorial Board $12,500. Just because.“ Oct. 10.)
As stated in the editorial, this is public money and should not be distributed without full transparency. The mayor and the St. ²»Á¼Ñо¿Ëùµ¼º½ÍøÖ· Development Corp.’s lack of transparency is deplorable. Do they think the public will just forget, as they hand out money to we can only guess who? In fact, a full list of the possible recipients and planned uses for the money should be published — along with any possible connections to the city officials in charge of this scam.

Look what has happened to this once great city. The voters who elected these officials should be ashamed and embarrassed. Obviously they did not check out their credentials — and don’t even get me started on the St. ²»Á¼Ñо¿Ëùµ¼º½ÍøÖ· Public Schools fiasco.
Anyway, I’m requesting my $12,500 grant for a down payment to buy a new car, so I can cross the river and visit my buddies.
