ST. LOUIS — A man accused of carrying a machete was charged Monday with robbing two riders on a MetroLink train in St. ²»Á¼Ñо¿Ëùµ¼º½ÍøÖ·.
At around 3 p.m. Sunday, Christopher C. Crockett, 39, approached two 21-year-old men on a train nearing the Central West End station, threatened them with a machete, and demanded their electronics, charges say.
One of the 21-year-olds turned over a cell phone, and the other handed over a computer and an iPad, charges say.Â
They reported the holdup to police, and officers tracked one of the phones. St. ²»Á¼Ñо¿Ëùµ¼º½ÍøÖ· police and Washington University officers arrested Crockett in the 100 block of Newstead Avenue.
Crockett was charged with two counts of first-degree robbery and two counts of armed criminal action. No injuries were reported.Â
